About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Sandy, Oregon, Mountain Moka is much more than your average cafe—it’s a warm and inviting haven for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. This charming spot, located at 17450 SE Meinig Ave, perfectly balances cozy ambiance with a dash of mountain town spirit, making every visit feel like a brief, comforting escape.

The true star here is the expertly crafted espresso menu. From robust, velvety lattes to inventive specialties like the Mexican Logger and Spiced Hazelnut, each cup showcases a dedication to quality and unique flavor combinations. One standout is their Honey Lavender Latte, a fragrant, subtly sweet concoction that lingers gently on the palate, evoking both comfort and intrigue. Cold brew aficionados will appreciate the smooth, rich bitterness that’s perfectly balanced without a hint of harshness.

Mountain Moka’s food offerings complement the drinks beautifully. The breakfast sandwiches, particularly the bagel with egg and cheese, feature fluffy interiors and a perfectly toasted exterior that delivers both crunch and melt-in-your-mouth softness. Pair this with a refreshing fresh juice or a creamy chai latte, and you have a breakfast experience that feels thoughtfully crafted to brighten your day. For those seeking classic comfort fare, the biscuits and sausage gravy provide a rich, hearty option, while lighter choices like yogurt and granola or oatmeal offer wholesome goodness.

Customer reviews paint a consistent picture of genuine warmth and quality. Andreas Spieth’s praise for their cappuccino being a superior alternative to big chains and the kid-friendly amenities speaks to Mountain Moka’s family-oriented approach. Yuliana Joyce's delight in their use of fresh fruits and vegetables in smoothies and the perfectly toasted bagel reveals the kitchen’s commitment to freshness and texture. Even constructive feedback, like JK’s preference for whole eggs over liquid, underscores the honest and transparent relationship the cafe maintains with its patrons.

The staff at Mountain Moka consistently receive accolades for their friendliness and attentiveness, making visitors feel immediately at home. The inviting interior, coupled with the option to sit outdoors, creates a versatile space where you can savor your drink quietly or catch up with friends. Whether you’re fueling up before a mountain adventure or looking for a comforting spot to unwind, Mountain Moka’s blend of artisan coffee and hearty breakfast options will leave you genuinely satisfied.

Forget Starbucks goes to Mountain Moka. For a long time not such a good cappuccino. For the kids smoothie very delicious. Very very friendly staff. For kids there are books. Very nice and well arranged. And you can sit out there. Mountain Moka roasting in Sandy, Oregon always worth a stop.

This place is great!!! Went twice while staying airbnb in sandy. A hot vanilla chai is always good to have, and they didn’t disappoint. Saw they used real fruit n veg for the green smoothie, the bagel in the breakfast sandwich was fluffy and toasted on the outside,, don’t know when I’ll be back in the sandy area but I will definitely come back here!!

Great little coffee shop, staff was super friendly and welcoming. Food was good, I wish they used a real egg in the breakfast sandwiches, it appeared to be liquid eggs which I'm not fond of.

Good cafe in Sandy. This was a perfect place to stop on my way up the mountain for coffee. They have dairy free and sugar free options. They made a decent cup of coffee and the staff was friendly. I would go back. They have cafe food as well that looked good

Quality cold brew and delicious bagels, toasty but soft. I had a bagel with cream cheese and came back again for their breakfast bagel! Would absolutely recommend.

Best Moka I’ve ever had. Luckily, I stop by here after long drive so that I can find out this amazing cafe. Definitely come to grab the coffee whenever on the way to Mt. Hood.

Cute little shop with lots of cute stuff for sale! I got a large cup of coffee with an added shot of espresso and I was stumped at how affordable it was! Allowed me to leave a good tip!!

This is the most adorable coffee shop ever! I popped in to grab a cup and decided to get something to eat "while I'm at it". I ended up relaxing with a rich, delicious iced coffee and a fantastic sandwich! The atmosphere here draws you in to slow down and enjoy your moment. Plus, I found a shelf with handmade items to support a local college-goer! If I were local, this would be my new spot, and I'm a bit sad that I'm not in town more often
